Surrey Hills Uniting Church
Welcome to
Surrey Hill Uniting Church
We worship every Sunday morning at 10am
Holy Communion on the first Sunday of each month.
Everyone is welcome to come and join in our friendly environment where we:
Offer praise to God, the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit;
are fed by God in Word (hearing and proclaiming Jesus Christ as Lord) and Sacrament (celebrating Baptism and Holy Communion);
Participate in the ministry of Jesus in the world through the power of the Holy Spirit.
The Surrey Hills Uniting Church worships Jesus Christ as Lord
and acknowledges the Wurundjeri people as the traditional owners and custodians of the land on which it gathers.
Please note our current COVID settings:
1. If you are feeling unwell, please depart immediately and get tested.
2. Please sanitize your hands.
3. Masks are no longer required but you are welcome to wear one.
Surrey Hills Uniting Church (SHUC) is a friendly, vibrant faith community that seeks to care for existing members and welcome new ones. We value the energy that members bring to every part of our life together. Some members appreciate the ease with which they can get deeply involved; others appreciate being able to step back from such involvement. Please take the time to browse our website. We hope you will find information or resources to sustain you in faith, hope and love. We would love to meet you and have the opportunity to include you in the life of our faith community.

Partnership
Over the past five years, our congregation has been developing a missional partnership with the congregation of St James, Wattle Park, in order to facilitate deeper missional relationships and shared activities. In late 2017, the two congregations resolved to amalgamate, and continue as one congregation on the Surrey Hills site. See below photos of the final service at St James on 7 Jan 2018.
SOSK - (Skills, Opportunity, Survival in Kenya)
Our congregation is delighted and proud to support and encourage a ministry in the Kenyan community of Naivasha. This ministry, pioneered by one of our members (Christie Faulks), is entitled SOSK (Skills, Opportunity, Survival in Kenya). Click on the donate link below to go to the website and learn more.
Learning Groups
Learning Groups (Sunday School) for children are held every Sunday the children start in worship with the congregation then gatherer in one group for activities and sharing in age appropriate groups. Except on the 4th Sunday of each month when we have All Age worship, where the service is a mix of different activities and styles of worship.
Our church is committed to ministry with people of all ages. On the 4th Sunday of each month we endeavour to worship in a way that is inclusive of children and young people. We use puppets, contemporary music and various activities to hear and proclaim the word of God.
Creche
A creche is available during Sunday worship for pre-schoolers. Please speak to the minister about this service.
